Timberbond Glulam standard products are, where specified, treated with preservative chemicals to protect against attack from termites, fungi and decay. The level of treatment required will depend on the location and the type of exposure to the weather, the ground or water. H1 - H4 treatment can and are regularly achieved with Timberbond's Glulam.

The Specifier can consult Timberbond for assistance in specifying appropriate levels of preservative treatment. In order to meet the Services Classes outlined above, depending on where the Glulam structure is to be used, specifiers will need to select timber treatment levels based on one of the following:
